John has done extensive recording studio work for radio and television commercials, music publication houses and film sound tracks. He maintains a busy schedule as a performer and teacher. He conducts clinics on the trombone, improvisation and careers in the business of music.

John has been involved with a number of recording projects, including multi-percussionist Tom Teasley's latest CD entitled "Global Standard Time" where John is part of a project that includes Rick Whitehead on guitar, John Previti on Bass and John Wubbenhorst playing both flute and Indian bansuri flute. Tunes from the likes of Coltrane, Ellington, Monk and McCoy Tyner performed with a third world and jazz approach…

Chaise Lounge is the name of a band on the scene out of Washington DC that has developed an enthusiastic following. Featuring the vocals of Marilyn Older and the arranging skills of Charlie Barnett this band creates a swinging mix of original tunes and new takes on popular swing tunes from the past. Joining the rollicking tenor sax of Gary Gregg, John performs on both trombone and trumpet with this band. Check out the new CD from Chaise Lounge…"The Early Years"

Another exotic setting John can also be heard in is the CD "Go-Go & Gumbo, Satchmo 'N Soul" by A La Carte Brass and Percussion.
